HELLO Everyone!! I have been away for some time and I am so happy to bring this injection of “make it happen” by way of this blog. If you know me, then you know that blogging is my happy place and it feels good to be in a happy place and a comfortable space. Now, about this blog. Actually, the title of this blog should have been “Get In the Game”, seeing as how we are gearing up for football season 2019. However, I chose the title, “Stay In The Game” because there are a lot of individuals who are trying to get “out of the game”. What do you mean TK? Well, I am glad you asked. It is the 3rd quarter of the year. When you started out, things were fresh, fun and exciting. You had plans and started working towards your goals. AND THEN … LIFE HAPPENED. Yep. Life. Plain and simple. Unforeseen expenses, unexpected death, company travel, homework, sickness, engagements, summer break, extra job – and you can fill in the blank for everything else. LIFE. It happens and we have to know how to QUICKLY ADJUST!

Just as in the game of football, strategy is important to WIN. Not merely skill, but rather, successful strategy is necessary to win. When you are down, when you are behind, when you are tackled, when you are faced with difficult challenges, when you feel defeated, and in those time you feel unfulfilled, you have to implement strategy for your life. Strategic moves are intricate to the situation and specific to the individual. Meaning that, strategy has to be tailor-made for each person. What may work for you, may not work for me. However, just make it work! Brush yourself off and stay in the game. Don’t sit on the sidelines of life because of a bad play. We all have bad days, bad weeks, and bad months. We just have to make sure that we do not have a bad year! See the gain. See the possibilities. See the amazing opportunities that comes with the confidence of moving forward.

Round out life by connecting and partnering with minds that can motivate and uplift your spirit. Start a daily routine which includes meditating on God’s Word and writing action points. Do not just stay in the habit of writing plans and goals, but push yourself to write action points. – something that will move you to activity.

As a moment of transparency, I have felt the burden of being “stuck” and “behind”. Hence, this blog. It was not just to motivate you, but it was written from a place of stagnation and a desire to spark those who may feel like me. Talking to myself, I just have to look in the mirror and remind the girl staring back at me that it is too early to head to the locker room.  The game is on the field and the field is life. Whatever is being kicked or thrown at us, we have to know that we have the power to overcome it and make it to the end zone!

I don’t know about you, but I can feel the TOUCHDOWN!!  I can feel the WIN! Do you feel it? Listen. Do not get comfortable in defeat! We are connected and empowered to do awesome and amazing things. So, stay in the game. Do not quit. Re-calibrate your focus and get a plan that will prompt action! You got this and I do too because we are on this field of life together!
